Project Description

Development of Infrastructure on Krievu Island for the Transfer of Port Activities from the City Centre Project (2010-2018), co-financed by EU Cohesion Fund, provided for the relocation of Andrejosta and Eksportosta terminals activities to Krievu Island on the territory of the Freeport of Riga, with the objective of air pollution abatement and noise level reduction due to cargo transshipment operations and creation of competitive environment for business as well.


Within the range of the Project the following works were performed:

  • Construction of railway tracks (12 293 m)
  • Installation of turnouts (22 pcs.)
  • Construction of subgrade
  • Installation of drainage equipment
  • Equipping of railway crossings (2 pcs.)
