Project Description

Modernisation of Signalling System on Liepaja Railway Station with Reconstruction of Railway Tracks Project (2014-2015), which was co-financed by EU Cohesion Fund and implemented by Thales – Fima – Transceltnieks Consortium, provided for the modernisation of signaling system and reconstruction of railway tracks at the station with the objective of railway traffic safety and cargo transshipment efficiency improvement.

 

Within the range of the Project the following works were performed:

  • Construction of railway tracks (3800 m)
  • Installation of turnouts (24 pcs.)
  • Construction of subgrade
  • Installation of drainage equipment
  • Relocation of communication network
  • Reconstruction of level crossing
